wow.

not bad.

a round of applause for surviving 2007.

but before that, the year in review:

jan: obs - the wonderful place where we did crazy stuff, which included the capsizing of shukiat's kayak, and the capsizing of the rescue kayak as well (=.=). luckily i wasnt harmed much. ivan's skill with numbers was great, as well as his scouts survival tips, but strangely enough, when he could kill the whole class he didn't, and only when back in ri did he want to kill fellow classmates. great bonding experience, and i'm glad i never missed it.

feb, march were quite stale months.

april: syf - what more can i say? perhaps one fine memory i will always treasure, of me doing chem in the hall while waiting for results, listening to random cries, cheers, and a particularly good "shhh". Oh yeah and a weird sound from a handphone too. Sweet day, that 20th of april morning (not the night though).

may was also stale.

june: carnegie '07 - playing mario for 3 hours straight is SUPER-LAME and brain-damaging. please do not attempt this at home/on the plane. and carnegie was really cool, us shopping at midnight in times square, where the city truly never sleeps. perfect holiday, really great. pity we didnt see much of frankfurt besides their mac's. Oh yeah, and i did something in ny that i feel proud till this day.

july: random events happening, like imcb, watching concerts and harry potter release. besides that nothing much.

august was stale.

september: though i wasn't in nsc team, i thought that (nsc) was more memorable than me attempting to celebrate my birthday with a bio textbook and ss notes. Oh yeah and a retarded 3rd lang eoy a day b4 my birthday (though that won't ever happen again( i hope)).

october: eoys??? nah. post-eoy celebration was cool, but a pity my marks were so disastrous. (ss.) eoys were quite bad, cause i think i lost my sanity ever since then. or did i lose them earlier, i wonder.

november: concerts (2 in a month) were nightmarish, where kai cheng nearly missed the last train home due to some scary stuff. i thought the cycling at ben wee's house were great though, i miss them (wont be able to cycle as exco together till at least the march hols).

december was stale, besides the occasional going to the airport for trips, and receiving the ijso team, and the imre trips (which were scary to say the least).

well, that's my life for 2007, and as i prepare to move to 2008:
the year of:
the Os
the injection
ez-link card expiry
not-so-polluted beijing olympics and possibly a medal
nightmares
the end of ri life (well i could be retained...)

i feel like sleeping.

well, school's about to start.

merry new year, and a happy christmas.

(i know, im lagging, and im mentally unsound.)

Dear Santa:
I know I might be a tad too late, cause I just came back from Changi Airport (details next time), but I wish to have some presents (shamelessly declaring) for Christmas. Yeah I am a bad boy, I am shameless, whatever. But there's always a glimmer of hope you see.

Unlike most greedy people, I am rather modest when I request for presents. I only want 3 (THREE) presents (SHAMELESS!), which isn't that much more for you, considering you already have 6 billion people who want presents already (after subtracting naughty people like certain people who made a racket at KL about a month ago).

My first present I wish for isn't much. I merely wish for:

all camwhoring to be banned.

I mean, it isn't much right? It's just the annihilation of idiotic people who blatantly waste precious seconds trying to take millions of retarded photos of their poser self, which is really dumb and retarded. Rather, the act of camwhoring. I have no qualms with the people, rather the act is the one which makes me pissed.

My second present is deeply personal and shouldn't be shared here, but well. I merely wish for:

professional penmanship courses.

You see, my handwriting has been the most famous part of me to the teachers ever since primary 1 (no joke here). Yeah, it's nice to win a Guinness World Record for the number of teachers pissed at one person's handwriting, but it HAS to end. I am not going to attempt to get 6/15 for SS EOY again just because my marker was pissed with my handwriting (actually this certainly wasn't the case, but my marker told me to improve on my handwriting).

My third present is quite offensive but well. Please, Santa,

SLIM DOWN.

No one likes to see some poser person with a pot belly walking down the streets and saying out "Ho Ho Ho" randomly right? Yeah it may encourage more and more size 1 models to downgrade to size 0 and for size 0 models to downgrade to size -1, but hey it helps all the dear American kids to get rid of the retarded illusion that Mac's is actually very healthy and should be eaten every second. We don't want more gaps between MEDCs and LEDCs. Furthermore corn prices are rising, so if you stop drinking Coke and all the corn syrup-infested drinks maybe we can actually get to enjoy healthy corn at a cheaper prices (supply vs demand). Most importantly if you go for liposuction and donate the excess oils and fats to poor Soviet-block countries you actually help put Time's Man of the Year out of oil business for some while. Mr. Putin won't like it though.

That's it from me.

P.S. I mailed this to Vostok Base (78°27'51"S 106°51'57"E) cause it just doesn't make sense for you to work in complete darkness 24/7 (not sure though, polar night may not occur for that long due to light diffraction). Anyway I advise you to get a permanent office asap between 90°W to 150°W (it's unclaimed). By the way please be careful, penguins aren't whales, so don't kill them for the sake of "scientific research" (otherwise known as tabemono - if you get what I mean).

Merry Christmas, and have fun going around at x milliseconds/house!

I'm pretty sure A LOT of people out there whom I know have this. Most of them would have realized that they have it by now, but perhaps they just don't change.

Maybe we aren't as lousy as we think. We reflect on ourselves, and wonder exactly how and why people regard ourselves so well when we 100% feel we don't deserve it at all. How in the world are we that good when we know we haven't put in our best?

But perhaps, these people are really too good, that even if not at their 100% best they simply own everyone else. They don't realize that not being at their best they can does not equate to not being good at all. I have seen people who are simply so good yet refuse to believe that they are as such.

It's contagious. It is really a dangerous, confidence-shattering disease. People believe it's either confidence-shattering or ego-boosting, until the point when they fall so hard cause their egos are too big, and between the two they pick confidence-shattering. People forget the third option.

One needs to find and appease the mind, to tell it that there is INDEED a 3rd option, and not feel so inferior after all. After all what is life when you feel so downcast and emo?

is so majestic.

oh ya, the PIPE organ (in case some people were stuck wondering how the stomach can be impressive).

i dont know why, but if ever any famous organist is ever going to give esplanade hall's organ a workout im going.

especially if it's saint-saëns' "organ" symphony (symphony no. 3).

it is so great, this piece of work, that i am still shocked why few orchestras play it.

yeah, translated, it means: i'm in love with it.

maybe i will give it a $2000 diamond, a big one.

i had a nightmare. and the nightmare realised itself today, in the form of:

agressive brochure givers.

those ABGs (as i will call them now) appear out of nowhere, in various shapes and sizes, and scare the living daylight out of innocent victims walking harmlessly down the street.

ABGs are famous for their quick paper handling, force in which they (literally) throw the brochure at you, and their apparent lack of regard for the rules (there's a rule, i'm sure, that reads "No littering").

Most importantly though is their apparent disregard for their surroundings (especially the brochure itself and the people they give it to). I was one such victim, and i'm sure many people were victims too.

Some of the more funny brochures thrown at me:

"Malay tuition for only $25 a lesson"
"Spa session for only $30!"
"PSLE training"
"Want a job fast?"
"Find a real estate agent quick!"

The best of all:

"Cheap and sexy lingerie"

Yeah, sell me that after i have a sex change operation ok?

it sucks to not be able to chew :(

People were asking me about why i needed to go for surgery, so here it is:
Most of you don't realise this, but I do have a missing front tooth. I did a Röntgen ray on it and there was actually a small teeth embedded in the gum, so the surgery was to remove it since there's a risk that an infection might occur.
